R and M go to their first nursery party

The party was being held in a local church hall with about 40 children aged three to four years old so definitely a challenge for the parents! 

We arrived at about 1.30pm for a two hour party. We didn’t really know to expect, but there was a disco and they had a man doing balloon modelling making the usual swords etc for all the kids. The DJ was very good trying to get all the kids dancing which was great to watch. All the kids were dressed up as either superheroes or princesses so they all looked really cute. 

About half an hour into the party Spider-Man arrived and did lots of tricks and high fived the kids which they loved. He was around for a good 30 minutes and lots of kids had their picture taken with him at the end. 

All the kids sat down for party food and while they were eating Elsa came in and wandered around talking to the children. Normally R gets very shy in these situations, but her and M were talking away to Elsa which was a big surprise! I think nursery is giving them a new found confidence. 

Elsa then sang, ‘Let it go’ and they had some dance competitions with medals handed out for the best dancers and a snow machine which they loved. 

The two hours had gone very quickly and soon it was time to go home. R and M had party bags to take home too which was nice.

The girls have changed so much in a a short time they are slowly developing a confidence and independence since starting nursery that I have not seen before. It was a great place to have a party and R and M had a fantastic time!
