1 – The sewing machine

Hand sewing is a thing and something that is relaxing while also working very well to repair and make clothing. However, most people will want a sewing machine to make the work faster and more accurate. 

There are a lot of different kinds and they all do different things. There are mechanical sewing machines, as well as sergers and even computerised models. To understand which kind to get, you have to think about what type of sewing you plan to do. 

If you are repairing clothes and need very sturdy hems, then a serger sewing machine is a good option as it does the best stitches to hold pieces of cloth together. A computerised one is a bit complicated and has a learning curve yet is essential for doing complicated embroidery.

Yes, you will definitely be needing these then since mistakes are part of the game no matter how much experience you have!

4 – Fabric pencil

Getting your pattern onto the fabric is only done with a fabric pencil. They will help you to make the clothes you want with ease. And the marks are water-soluble so after your work is done you won’t see the lines at all. A white one is going to be used the most but make sure to have something for when the fabric is white.
