Toddlers energy levels are awesome!

December 17, 2015

Toddlers have an unrivalled amount of energy packed into a tiny body and if we could bottle it we could probably make a fortune! As parents it at times seems to me impossible to keep up with them. Here are a few comparisons to toddlers energy.

1. They are like a meteor flying though space picking up speed as they go
2. A spaceship about to take- off to the moon
3. In the process of a meltdown they summon an energy level that can keep it going for what seems like hours!
4. When you suggest quiet time, watch tv or read a book, it’s like a call to action for them to explode into action! There’s on holding them back!

5. When they wake in the morning it’s instant action, super energy levels – let’s go mum and dad!
As a dad I never can quite believe how toddlers keep going at 100mph from the moment they wake until they go to sleep. I am constantly knackered! I get tired sometimes just watching them!
I then wondered how do toddlers keep going at such a fast pace? I suppose it’s their appetite to learn and experience new things and I guess because toddlers live very much in the moment so they have to cram as much as they can in that moment which I imagine is where all this energy comes from.

It must be wonderful to be three years old and to be learning something new most likely every few minutes and then to probably have no recollection as you get older!
Toddlers have no conception of time, just the moment they are living. What an awesome life!

My sons are exactly the same, they seem to be energetic all the time and the tantrum hour drains me…tantrum hour starts around 3pm lol. Its when they are both tired and hungry at the same time. x

I completely agree! I've got two small girls and they are a constant whirlwind from the moment they wake up EARLY until they go to bed. I just wish I could have their energy! Sometimes it's tiring and exhausting but other times it's lovely to see how much zest for life they have. #TheList

Every single day I wonder how kids are so energetic at 6am? That time of the morning I am usually sat with a grumpy look on my face clutching a coffee hating life haha! how do they do it! I want some of that morning energy! #binkylinky

My son has always had bags of energy. I compare him to a tornado. The only time his still is when watching YouTube.
