What happened to my lazy Sunday’s?
There was a time when on a Sunday all I would do is sleep, play Xbox, sleep some more, try my luck with a small gamble, watch TV and eat!
Then R and M were born and all of that disappeared! I’m not saying that I don’t enjoy family Sunday’s because I do, but every now and again, maybe once every three years it would be nice to have a Sunday to ourselves! Just so that we could wake up when we want and just be a couch potatoes all day!
So, today instead of going online to play Call of Duty or Halo I was in the conservatory doing crafty pictures with the girls and my wife. Actually it was good fun! Who needs Xbox when you can make crafty pictures?!
The biggest problem we have is that we have no family members who could have the twins overnight.
Now I will contradict myself because I don’t really want the girls to stay overnight anywhere! I think I would worry all night that the girls are ok and after all when you have children the idea is to look after them and love them.
So back to my lazy Sunday’s they are gone for the time being! Yes, I have to admit I miss them, but it is made up by spending time with my family and having fun with the girls.
When we had the twins I never for one minute thought how 24/7 they would be and I can’t actually remember the last time I watched anything other than CBeebies during the day! I think I am either totally enjoying it or I’ve reverted back to childhood with so much children’s TV!
