Will Women Be Getting A Better Deal By The Time My Twins Finish School?

Our twin girls, R & M will be seven years old on their next birthday which is in February, by which time they will be halfway through Year 2 which is also their final year in infants, before moving on to junior school.

Before I know it, they will be in secondary school and preparing for university. It sounds crazy I know, but it will be around in the blink of an eye.

Recently the UK had a visit from the current president of the United States of America. The protest against his visit was immense and I hope that he saw that the British public generally did not want him here. He really is not a nice human being if we are believe everything that he says.

My biggest fear is how far he’s putting women back which is understandable because I have four daughters, and it’s plainly obvious he does not see women as equals to men. Of course to any normal thinking person this is ridiculous. The only saving grace is by the time my twin girls are heading out into the big world he will be a distant memory, but his legacy may not be. People will remember him as a sexist, racist and oh so many other things that as a society we should always be appalled at. Yet sadly people agree with many of the absurd attitudes he has.

Sadly it’s the damage that he will do in a short time that we will have to live with for a long time after he has retreated to trump tower.

Women of the 21st century, which is what all my daughters are, are unfortunately still fighting the same battles that my mother did all those years ago. Yes we moved on a little bit, but the inequality between male and female is still plain to see and it’s not changing quick enough for me.

I want my daughters to have the opportunities that their male counterparts have with the chance to be independent and have equal wages for the same job, and this is not happening at the moment.

Sadly many men with old fashioned attitudes, or men in roles of power will continually keep putting women down. We need an entire generation of men to disappear so that women can be seen for what they really are. Intelligent, dedicated, motivated, driven and can match anything that any male counterpart can do. I just described my wife and four daughters.

The world and attitudes need to change, and the male ego needs to be thrown off the nearest bridge and drowned without a trace. Start accepting that women are as good as you are, as a man and can do any job you can and let’s be honest quite often better.

Let’s make this world more equal. Woman or man, we are all equals and women deserve, infact it’s their right to be able to shine and be the star of the show, wnd achieve whatever they want to be without any restrictions. It’s their right as human beings.
