A Football Feast with Iceland #PowerofFrozen
The 2016 UEFA European Championship has officially kicked off! After watching the colourful and musical opening ceremony I’m well and truly in the football season mood!
I’ve teamed up with Iceland on their #PowerofFrozen campaign to create a truly delicious, yet convenient and cost effective football feast.
This year Iceland are sponsoring the Iceland Euro 2016 team. They’re playing their first match this Tuesday, 14th June at 8pm.
It’s the first time that they’ve qualified and that’s pretty impressive when you consider their population is only the size of Coventry. To help give the Iceland Euro 2016 team some extra support, Iceland sent us some football merchandise, along with £30 in vouchers to spend on creating a football feast to enjoy during the game.
The Iceland range and the #PowerofFrozen campaign has been pretty successful and that’s mainly because frozen food can offer convenience, cost savings and choice without ever compromising on quality.
I visited our nearest Iceland store, which is only a ten minute drive away to see just how much I could buy for our £30. Here’s what I bought:
Four pack of summer fruits fruit shoots for the kids
Frozen Freezepops for the kids to enjoy whilst watching the game
Kids Lolly Mix – Not just for kids!
Iceland Let’s Eat American Chicken Posters
Iceland Takeaway Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza
Iceland Let’s Eat American Family Box
Slimming World sausages – Exclusive to Iceland
Slimming World chicken & sausage paella – Exclusive to Iceland
Slimming World Tomato & Basil Soup – Exclusive to Iceland
6 pack of Diet Coke
Chicken & Chorizo Kebabs
American Style Curly Fries
Millie’s White Choc Cookies
This cost just over £30. I think that’s really great value for money!
For our football feast we’ll invite some of our family over and cook up a feast using the products we bought.
We’ll enjoy them with the cans of Diet Coke, whilst the children can have the fruit shoots.
I’m particularly looking forward to the Iceland Family Box. At just £5 it’s excellent value for money, plus it’s super quick to cook in the oven from Frozen in just 35 minutes. Inside the box you get:
Southern fried potato wedges
Southern fried chicken wings which were my favourite!
South fried chicken breast fillet strips which the kids loved!
Chicken popsters
It’ll make for great finger food to enjoy whilst watching the football and the American style curly fries will go nicely with it.
The takeaway stuffed crust pepperoni pizza is just £2!
For afters the grown ups can enjoy the cookies and the children can feast on the ice lollies!
Our football feast is both convenient and cost effective. Plus we’ll have plenty of food left over to see us through a few more football games! I know we’ll definitely be shopping at Iceland again! That’s the #PowerofFrozen
For the purpose of this post I was given a £30 Iceland voucher along with some football merchandise. All views and opinions are 100% my own.

Looks like you were set for a fab time! I'll be honest, I rarely buy frozen (apart from chips and peas) as I never find the veg to be as tasty as cooking from fresh. I've also never viewed frozen food as 'healthy' as buying and cooking fresh food but I accept I am probably wrong on that point with the fact that food frozen straight away keeps a lot more nutrients than fresh food which has travelled further. We don't have an Iceland so close to us so it would be a special trip to find one – my freezer also appears to be totally full of food I've cooked in a batch (or ice cream! Lol!) so I doubt I'd have much room. Totally accept I could save a fortune though! #fartglitter

I love Iceland for value – I just need to invest in a bigger freezer as I always see so many things that I want but never have any room to store them. Love the look of the Millies Cookies and you have sourced a banquet here for such a reasonable price!
Thanks for linking with #fartglitter 🙂
