[AD] The Benefits Of Updating Your Kitchen With New Quartz Worktops

January 27, 2020

In our home, the kitchen, like many homes across the UK is the hub of family life. It’s easily one of the most used rooms in our home.

So consequently it is always going to look tired and well used before any other room. However, the cost of renewing your kitchen is not something that most of us can afford to do every few years, but we can make small changes that will update our kitchen and give it a new lease of life at minimal cost.

One such way is to replace the worktops, and an excellent type of worktop to use that will not only look good, but will also give years of good service is a quartz worktop. There are many Quartz Worktops for sale in the uk so finding the right colour and design to fit in with your kitchen units shouldn’t be a problem.

Here are a few reasons why, if you are changing the worktops in your kitchen, quartz worktops would be the way forward.

1. Toughness

When quartz worktops are being made the process involves removing all the impurities and softer minerals meaning you are left only with the hardest mineral which is quartz. This will in turn will give you a hard wearing worktop to withstand the rigours of family life.

2. Composition

Quartz surfaces are made up of 93% mineral content. This is what gives a quartz worktop that beautiful distinctive look and feel.

3. Heat Resistance

Quartz worktops are resistant to heat and can actually withstand heat of up to 360 degrees fahrenheit. This is very useful in a kitchen, but this can only be done for a short time in kitchens in the UK.

4. Water Absorption

The water absorption of a quartz worktop is equivalent to that of a porcelain tile, which means that the quartz worktop will always look its best and any spills of water won’t damage the worktop.

5. Visible Seams

If your kitchen is quite large like ours you won’t be able to have a continuous worktop so it will need to be joined but a good fitter will be able to join the worktop and the seams will hopefully not even be noticed.

6. Colour and design

You shouldn’t have any trouble picking a design or colour to fit in with your kitchen as there is a very large choice, so there will be something that suits your kitchen. They come in satin, matte or a smooth finish.

Changing the worktops can transform your kitchen and quartz worktops are a great investment that will cope with a busy kitchen in your home but you don’t need to compromise on design and showing your personality with your choice of worktop.
