It’s Time For A New Bathroom AD

August 13, 2019

For quite a while I have been putting off replacing our old bathroom and the only reason for that is because it is so expensive. However, now I am at the point where we have to do it because our current bathroom is falling apart and it needs a total refurbishment.

I really have had enough of the avocado coloured bathroom suite that was here when we moved in.

When you decide on such a major job in your home it’s so important that in my opinion you give it a lot of thought. After all, it’s not something you do every six months. It has to last a long time and my attitude is you may as well spend a little extra so it’s exactly what you want and you can enjoy using your bathroom for years to come.

So in my proposed new bathroom here are my top 5 must haves.

1. Corner Shower Cubicle

To save space and have more room for everything to fit into the bathroom, a corner shower unit is perfect. It gives plenty of room when you are showering and takes up minimal space in your bathroom.

2. Power Shower

A power shower is an absolute must for me. I want a square head shower that has a multitude of different water strengths and types so I can choose what type of shower I want depending on my mood of the day.

3. Electric Heated Towel Rails

This is a number one must have when you step out of the shower or the bath and reach for a towel. For me there is nothing worse than a cold towel. You have just had a lovely warm shower or bath and you instantly feel cold when you wrap that cold towel around yourself but not anymore when you have an electric heated towel rail in your bathroom and it gives you that lovely cosy feeling, especially during the long winter months.

4. Bath with jacuzzi

I have always wanted a bath that converts to a jacuzzi and while I will be having a completely new bathroom this will be the perfect opportunity to install a jacuzzi bath to ease away all the aches and pains of the working day.

5. Illuminated bathroom Cabinet

When I’m shaving there never seems to be enough light in the bathroom so I will be looking into getting a large mirrored illuminated cabinet so I give myself the perfect close shave every time.

So that is my top 5 must haves when I start the job of replacing my old bathroom. A little careful planning and I’m sure I’ll end up with the perfect bathroom that will last for years to come.

If you were replacing your bathroom what would be your must haves? I would love to hear in the comments below.
