A week or so before Christmas I went down to Southampton university to pick my 20 year old daughter, E, for the Christmas holidays. This is a journey I have done many times so it’s a route that I know very well.
The driving conditions were fine all the way down there and conditions were fine for the drive home. To get to the M4 for the drive back to South Wales, I need to take the A34 after leaving the M3. Not long after I joined the A34 and the traffic came to a halt. Thankfully I was able to pull up in time without hitting the car in front of me. Sadly the car behind me, a Range Rover, did not stop and rear-ended me at about 50mph, quite a speed. Consequently this resulted in my car being written off and sent off to the scrapyard in the sky.
Thankfully nobody was hurt and that is very important, but this got me thinking about how important driving safely should be. It must always be a priority, but as we enter the new year, adverse weather conditions and reduced daylight means that extra care must be taken. Regrettably, accidents can happen. Should you find yourself in a road incident, having an independent witness near by can be of utmost importance
So when I was approached by NextBase 512GW Dash Cam I thought this would have been so useful in my recent accident. The NextBase 512GW Dash Cam Is a Which? Best Buy. It captures high-quality footage in impressive 1440p Quad HD, ensuring the image is always crystal clear. What’s more, it boasts an array of features, including an innovative ‘Intelligent Parking Mode’ as well as in-built Wi-Fi for instant sharing of footage.
I found out recently that now the UK’s top 40 insurers accept in-car camera footage as part of an insurance claim. A Dash Cam of this calibre could be the difference between a successful claim or a wrongful verdict in the unfortunate event of you being caught up in an incident that’s not your fault.
In my accident the person that collided with me admitted liability instantly and thankfully there was no dispute when claiming the value of my car back from the 3rd party insurers. Of course this could have been so different, and a Dash Cam would be invaluable evidence when liability is disputed.
This really is a fantastic Dash Cam that gives you peace of mind when driving. It’s great value for money and I would highly recommend one for your car.
Now it’s your chance to win a NextBase 512GW Dash Cam worth £149.99. Just enter below. Good luck!
