My Favourite Holiday Moments

June 13, 2017

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to have many fantastic family holidays, but two particular holidays stand out as the best because they have created so many wonderful #holidaymoments.

The first holiday I remember with such affection was four years ago. I went to Menorca and had my five children, wife and my mum with me. It was one of those rare moments in life where I had those that mean the most to me and love with all my heart around me on holiday.

What made this holiday particularly special was watching my five children together in one place at the same time. It was particularly special watching my older children having fun around the pool with their nearly two year old twin sisters.

My children are from two marriages and when I sat back and watched them all together you wouldn’t believe they were half  brothers and sisters. In fact it was obvious to me that they were just siblings. Many memories for me were made on that holiday that will live on in my mind for a long time to come.
My other holiday moment was just last summer when we went to Majorca and we were now down to just my wife, our five year twin girls and myself. The older children were off now doing their own thing.

There was one very special moment that lives on forever in my memory. We were all enjoying a day by the pool and my wife encouraged our five year old twins to creep up on me and pour ice cold water over my head, which when you are sitting in a 30 degree heat, felt seriously cold, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the fits of laughter the girls were in and running away at the same time!

It’s a magical moment that can usually only happen on holidays. Capturing all these moments on camera is wonderful and then being able to go online and creating photobooks online at Truprint to treasure those memories forever is wonderful.

So those are my favourite holiday moments, I would love to know yours.

Ah, that’d be Izzy, throwing caution completely to the wind and jumping into the swimming pool. Luckily I was in the pool to catch her but that child is fearless around water! gREAT PIC OF THE GIRLS LAUGHING AS THEY RUN OFF BTW!

We are also a blended family, my husband has a son from his first marriage ( who lived with us) I have two sons from my first marriage and we have a son together, everyone gets one together although only our youngest is still living at home the older three have flown the nest, we only had caravan holidays in this country, but still made some fantastic memories

Great post, Nige. It’s those little moments that last forever. The girls look like they really enjoyed it too!
