Preserving Your Old B/W Photos With Vintage Photo Lab

August 5, 2017

I recently wrote a post about how I was once a part of a happy family of five. This all came about because I was asked by Vintage Photo Lab to try out their service of saving old black and white photos to disk, online or a USB stick.

The first thing I had to do was collect as many old photos as possible, which involved raiding my mums house, and she plenty more than I ever knew about. My wife also had quite a few photos of her mum who sadly had passed away many years ago.

I managed to put together a couple of hundred photos which was fine to try out the service.

So I went on their website and it was so easy to use. As they say it's as easy as 1,2,3 and they're right! I had a choice of two options and the costs were all very clearly outlined.

The first option is a small box which is up to 500 photos and costs £80.

The second option is a large box which is up to 1000 photos and costs £120.

You can choose the scan quality either standard @300DPI or high @600DPI.

You get a DVD with all your photos on and you can request a USB if you want one. You can also order an additional DVD for family or friends perhaps.

You are emailed every step of the way exactly where your order is and this really is as simple as 123.

1. They collect the photos from any address in the uk via a courier service and you are given a day and time that they will be collected.

2. They are then scanned preserving old photos to digital so they are saved forever, and you never have to worry about losing those treasured memories.

3. You are then sent a digital copy and you can check you are happy and all your originals are sent back to you.

At every step of the way I was emailed an update of exactly where my order was. In a short space of time I was able to look at all my old black and white photos.

Vintage photo lab also offer a scan and restore service for colour photos.

The service offered by Vintage Photo Lab is excellent and I would highly recommend them to anybody. To be able to save all my old photos in one place is brilliant. This really is great value for money. If you do manage to lose the originals, which lets face it can easily be done. The memories of your past are just a click away.

If you would like to try this service, you can get a 10% discount just use the code diydad when ordering.
