Teenage Love Break Up
This is probably something most of us have suffered from in our lives and at the time it feels like the end of the world. The truth is that it;s a life experience that we need to learn from.
In the last few weeks my 17 year old daughter has finished with her boyfriend of three and half years. They split up once before and got back together and to be honest they looked set to stay together, but appearances can be deceiving.
Why do teenage romances break up?
The answer is simple between the ages of 14 to 18 you are growing and changing what you want and you are most likely carving out your career for the rest of your life.
This is most certainly the reason behind my daughters broken romance. She is currently awaiting her ‘A’ level results which will decide on her getting her university placement. I really hope she is sucessful mainly because I saw all the studying she had done prior to her exams.
Of course your goals and ambitions change almost on a daily basis so unless you are on the same path the chances are the relationship will struggle to survive.
My daughter recently went on an all girls holiday to Ibiza and I’m fairly sure her eyes were opened and then the possibility of attending university soon has made her realise she wants to be single. My daughter has thankfully,has been very mature over the break up and appears to have come to terms with being a single young lady very quickly.
Thankfully the relationship was finished on good terms and both can go on and get on with their lives.
It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all than to of never of all because it will identify love at a time in the future.
