The Twins Learn to Swim on Holiday (Feat Video)
The biggest moment on our holiday for me happened at the swimming pool.
We have taken the girls swimming at our local leisure centre, but not on a regular basis so as far as learning to swim was concerned the girls didn’t really learn. However they were pretty confident in the water, probably as their feet were touching the bottom of the pool.
When we arrived at the hotel the pool was perfect. Not too deep, but deep enough to keep the girls feet off the bottom.
On our first day we went down to the pool after lunch and the girls were all kitted out with their armbands and floats. They got into the water and instantly I realised that there was a new found confidence in the girls. They were definitly holding on to us less than normal.
The next time we went to the pool R & M’s new found confidence blossomed into swimming. Their mummy would swim across the pool and they were off following her around! It was amazing to watch them kicking their little legs to catch mummy up!
Their no fear attitude to the swimming pool even culminated in standing on the side of pool and jumping in all on their own!
The most interesting thing for me is would they have progressed so quickly at our local leisure centre? I don’t think so, maybe the outdoor pool and sunshine enabled them to shake off any fears of the water they may have had and it encouraged them to swim away.
A milestone and treasured moment in the lives of our four year old twins which I got on video. Take a look!

We're still trying with swimming too! I really regret not taking him to lessons when he was a baby. It's great that the girls gained more confidence in the water when you were away. Thanks for hosting #binkylinky xx

Great news! It makes such a difference when they have little or no fear, and possess bundles of confidence. Go Pros are awesome, I've used one a few times skiing but always a friends. We really need to get one of our own asap.

Yay, go the girls. I think any swimming with parents outside of lessons always gives them confidence. We never go on holiday anywhere where we can swim every day and the OH's never seen N swim or taken him swimming, and I really think he'd have progressed faster if he'd had that impact.

Proud moment. We have a pool in the backyard and it amazes me how quickly me daughter picked up swimming. The absolute lack of any fear on her part made me both proud and a bit worried. #binkylinky

Love the GoPro footage. Got me thinking about booking some proper swimming lessons for T. Really nice to see children confident in the water. #binkylinky
