We have moved in to our new home
A few days ago we moved to our new home. I use the word home loosely. Why? Well we rent where we live and it’s difficult to always call it home when in this country there is security of tenure and most likely never will be.
For all of that it’s important to make it feel like home, which we will do, but when you rent it’s difficult to put a stamp on the property because there are restrictions.
Our landlord this time has assured us that this long term and has said that he wants a family to live in the property and in fairness he did a lot of things to make the property as nice as possible for us. He even left us a welcome note which was a lovely gesture.
We moved in three and half hours and were left with a mountain of boxes which I set about sorting out. There was nowhere to store them so they needed to be emptied and I did quite a bit that afternoon and my wife and the girls went out the next morning for a play date leaving me to sort the house and thankfully I got it all sorted just before they came home.
I feel it’s really important to sort everthing quickly otherwise you end up living in a mess or is that my ocd kicking in? Probably!
All that’s left to do now is to enjoy our new home.
