Why Adding Whey Protein And Creatine To Your Favourite Drink Helps You With Your Exercise And Recovery
One of the hardest parts of our exercise regime is finding the energy to finish it, in addition to the motivation to improve our performance. After such a tough work-out recovery time can sometimes take a while. Even more so if you’re doing long and regular work-outs or exercise activities for prolonged periods of time. Quite often we could do with some help in our recovery and by adding whey protein or creatine to your favourite drinks, this is a great way to help your fitness levels.

My own particular fitness activity is cycling. It is something that I have been obsessed with all my life and my obsession will usually lead me to go on bike rides of anything between 30-50 kilometres. I would usually do 5 bike rides a week so the stresses and strains this puts on my muscles can be quite extreme. Of course the muscles that I find are pushed to the limits are my leg muscles and at times the recovery can take a long time. This means I’m always looking for anything that will help with my bike rides and of course reduce recovery time to a minimum.
There are many whey protein and creatine products on the market and unfortunately many of them are not 100% natural. Many of them are full of additives and artificial sweeteners which are not designed to better your health but for companies to make more money.
So when I was approached by Naked Nutrition to try out their Naked Whey and Naked Creatine I was instantly interested. What instantly appealed to me is that Naked Whey is sourced from small Californian dairy farms where the cows are grass fed all year round. They’re also raised without growth hormones and are 100% free of additives and artificial sweeteners. Naked Creatine only has one ingredient – pure creatine monohydrate. So let’s look in more depth at both Naked Whey and Native Creatine and the benefits for your exercise regime.
Naked Whey
As I have already mentioned, Naked Whey comes from grass fed cows only. This means grass fed whey is better for the animals, the environment and has health benefits for us.
Every serving of Naked Whey will deliver all that is needed in regards to amino acids which are needed to build and maintain lean muscle. The branched-chain amino acids Leucine, isoleucine and valine will help muscle protein synthesis which will then help muscle growth and recovery after exercise.

Naked Whey will also help boost your immune system. Grass fed whey contains a fatty acid called linoleic. This helps boost your immune function, as well as boosting your immune system CLA which can help preserve lean muscle mass and burn more fat.
Grass fed whey also contains more omega -3 fatty acids which can support better metabolism and improve cardiovascular health. Naked Whey is also much more easily absorbed to promote better recovery after exercise.
Naked Creatine
Creatine monohydrate is widely recognised by researchers as safe and effective. Creatine gives your muscles additional energy which helps you to perform better at your chosen exercise. Your muscles naturally produce creatine so by adding Naked Creatine it will improve your strength and performance.

By increasing the creatine concentration in muscle tissue it will reduce fatigue during exercise which will help you recover quicker, and this will hopefully allow you to perform at peak levels. Naked Creatine will promote your muscle gain and help you do more reps during strength training.

I have now been using both Naked Whey and Naked Creatine for a little while and one of the major benefits of Naked Whey is that it is gluten free, GMO free and it consists of only Whey It’s also soy free and it mixes really easily into my favourite smoothie. It’s also odourless and flavourless which is brilliant as many whey proteins I have tried taste awful. Naked Creatine can be added to your favourite smoothie and is best used before exercise or immediately after a workout. I’d also suggest that you try to use it at the same time everyday. It is also flavourless so you could, if you wanted to, add to a glass of water.
Final thoughts
I have found that by using both Naked Whey and Naked Creatine my energy levels have definitely increased and I found the recovery of my muscles has definitely improved. I would highly recommend both Naked Whey and Naked Creatine to anybody that is doing a serious amount of workouts or training.
