Garden makeover for summer
With summer fast approaching I am really looking forward to using the garden. My wife has already made a start on growing some vegetables as she’s started to sow some seeds with our twin girls. One of their favourite things to do is to water them, although sometimes they can get a bit carried away!
I have four year twin girls and they love being outdoors. We have a lovely enclosed garden for them to play in as the weather improves. It really is lovely to start being able to use the garden at night time as well as during the day.
I want to turn our garden into a magical area for the girls. One of the ideas that I have is to use different types of lights to make the garden still useable during those hazy summer evenings. LED hut have a great selection of lights available so that’s where I’m going to start looking.
We love our barbecues and I have set aside an area on our patio for the barbecue to go! Again it’s important to have good light for cooking as I want to be able to ensure what I’m cooking is cooked properly, but also so that we can see what we’re eating if we do decide to eat outside.
I mentioned LED hut earlier and I just wanted to expand upon that by saying that they have a vast selection of garden lights that would be perfect for my garden and a lot of them are solar power which is brilliant for cost.
I intend to have spiked lights along our path which would be great for both my children, but also for my elderly mother-in-law to ensure that nobody falls over. By adding lights it means everyone can see exactly where they’re going.
I also want some wall mounted spotlights for the barbecue area to keep it well lit to ensure that no accidents happen with the barbecue. That’s the last you’d want with kids around!
I’d also like to place coloured Chinese lanterns on the fence to make that area magical and pretty for my twin girls.
Finally I will discreetly place spiked lights in the flower beds to show off all of the shrubs in fine splendour during the summer months.
I am very excited about transforming our garden with the use of light for summer and I hope the girls love what I am trying to achieve!
