Karcher FC3 Cordless Floor Cleaner AD

I love cleaning and I’m forever getting the hoover or the mop out to clean the kitchen floor, so when Karcher approached me recently to review the all new FC3 cordless floor cleaner which is part of their new range of hard floor cleaners, it wasn’t a very difficult decision for me to agree to them sending it to me so that I could put it through its paces.

What makes the Karcher FC3 cordless floor cleaner so special? Well, everything if I’m honest. It’s the sort of quality that only Karcher can consistently produce and they have not disappointed with this superior floor cleaner.

Key Features and Benefits

1. Permanent wetting of the rollers from a clean water tank and an innovative self-cleaning function.

2. It is a slimline design with a swivel head allowing you to get under furniture and right up to edges making it easier to clean in corners.

3. Automatic water removal from rollers and is suitable for all hard floors including laminate, stone and many other types of floors. Which also means floors are generally dry within two minutes.

4. It has approximately 20 minutes of battery life which is powered by a lithium-ion battery also an led display to always show you how much power you have left.

5. It’s cordless which allows freedom and you don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging in for different areas.

6. It has microfibre rollers which are easy to remove and install and can be machine washable up to 60c.

7. Easy to remove two tank system. The fresh water tap can be filled under the tap, and it’s a very hygienic removal of the dirty water tank and you don’t need to touch the dirt.

8. It has an innovative drive system with forward moving rollers which move across the floor almost by itself which makes for effortless cleaning, so no scrubbing of the floor is required. Finally it has a parking station when it’s not in use and stands perfectly while charging.

So now it was time to put the Karcher FC3 floor cleaner through its paces to see if it really does work as well as they claim. Upon opening the box I found it very easy to put together and it was ready to go in minutes.

We have a stone tiled kitchen floor so that was where I was going to test the FC3 cleaner. Our kitchen is like a lot of kitchens in that it’s heavily used, especially as we have children. This means we’re cleaning the floor every few days because the kids are always dragging dirt or mud through the house usually via the back door which leads straight into the kitchen.

The Karcher FC3 floor cleaner is beautifully designed and incredibly easy to use. I found removal of the clean water tank when it required filling was simple and consequently removal of the dirty water tank very easy at the end of the cleaning.

The microfibre rollers moved very easily and the fact that they are moving forward definitely made the whole process of cleaning the floor effortless and cleaned the floor better than any other way I have cleaned the kitchen floor before.

I was really impressed that the rollers can be removed and popped in the washing machine. This is fantastic because they will always be fresh for the next clean. The swivel head was absolutely brilliant as it allows you to get right into the corners and along the edges of the kitchen. The rollers which have automatic removal of dirty water is truly innovative, because it means you are cleaning the floor and not soaking it in water hence why it only took a couple of minutes to dry after cleaning.

The Karcher FC3 Floor Cleaner is an awesome product and Karcher have thought of everything when designing this cleaner. It really does have everything and I would highly recommend the Karcher floor cleaner if your home is made up of hard floors such as tile, stone or laminate. It’s the perfect partner for a streak free finish on hard floors.
