My Sunday Photo: Summer Is Ending

On Friday we had our final day trip to the seaside this summer. We went to our local beach, where it was a beautiful sunny day. There is no better way to spend a day, than building sandcastles with your children at the seaside.
My five year old twins love the beach and it’s a shame that it will most likely be months before we are playing on the sand at the beach again.
Autumn/ winter is coming and it will be upon us, before we know it. Roll on next summer for those these fab times, to return, where we can play at the beach without a care in the world.
At the beach, it gives me a sense of freedom. A feeling of peace, where all the troubles of the world and our lives, seem live a million miles away.
Where is your special place to switch off from this fast moving world we all live in. I would love to know.

I’m with you Nigel, so long as you can find a reasonably quiet beach, it is a place to escape. great shot of you and the kids. I refuse to believe summer is ending though! Merely that we’re in a late summer phase!

We’ve just had a local beach day but I’m determined it won’t be the last one of the season. September can be lovely and hot in the middle of the day, it just has to be nice on a weekend!
