Twins do and say the funniest things part 10
I1. R and M were washing home grown carrots with their mum and R started kissing a little carrot. When asked why she said the carrot is so cute!
2. Mummy’s favourite Disney film is Beauty and the Beast. M said I would like a belle dress and said to her mummy you can have a beast dress!
3. R has started to say well known phrases, but has changed them slightly instead of saying, ‘what on earth’ she says something and ends it with ‘earth’. She says ‘my life’ instead of ‘on my life’, and finally if her Mummy or I ask her to do something more than once she replies with ‘how many times?’ as in ‘how many times do you have to ask?!’
4. M was out in garden and a fly came near to her and she said the fly came over to say hello and asked what are you doing and then it flew away!
5. Caught in the act of eating the smarties off the cake!
6. The girls were having a bath and their mummy was sitting on the edge of the bath with her feet in the bath. M thought it was a good idea to pour water over mummy’s legs and then progressed to pouring water down her top and finally over her hair!
7. R loves the Minions film, her Minions T-shirt and she has a minion toy from McDonald’s, but she struggled with saying Minions and just called them Onions for a while!
8. Finally I sleep soundly every night knowing that Captain America is protecting our home!

Aww sweet. I love it when kids 'amend' well know phrases. Very kind to let mummy have a beast dress, I think! I haven't seen the 'Onions' film yet, but it sounds good! #ftmob

It gets a bit worrying when the kids start picking up on the things that are said around them. As our eldest starts junior school in September, we're bracing ourselves for a few new words, added to his forever growing vocabulary.

Ah love the Captain America photo! It is funny when children pick up some of the phrases we say but change them slightly – "how many times?" made me chuckle. Love "onions" for "minions" too and telling Mummy she can have a beast dress! Thanks for linking up to #ftmob 🙂
