My Sunday Photo ( Rock Painting)

The summer holidays are over and as usual it’s had it’s different fads. We had the fidget spinner, but if I’m honest the girls bored of this very quickly.

About half way through the holidays a craze started in our neighbourhood, as I’m sure it did in many other neighbourhoods up and down the country.

People started to paint rocks and then hide them around the neighbourhood. The idea was really simple. If you find one, you re-hide it somewhere else, but also take a photo and post it to a Facebook group. There were some very elaborate designs that must have taken sometime to paint. It reminded me a little bit of the Pokemon craze, but this was so much more fun. You didn’t need a smart phone which meant it was a game my five year old twins could join in with.

My five year old twins really got into the swing of this craze, painting their own rocks and putting them somewhere to be found by somebody else. Whenever we went to the park or walked to the shops we were hunting for painted rocks. The girls loved this game and often told us to take a picture if they found one.

My Sunday photo today is our five year old twins holding the painted rocks they found while out having a walk and looking very proud of their finds.
