Home Management And Finding The Right TradesPerson With Hoppy #AD
Managing your home and all the things you have to sort out can cause a lot of stress, especially if both of you are working full-time, have children and are constantly trying to sort out child care.
Then you also have to factor in getting the shopping done and making sure the kids get to school on time. In addition to this, you then need to somehow try and find time to do those jobs around the home, and if all that doesn’t stress you, well you must be superhuman.

In a recent survey carried out by Hoppy and YouGov Called the ‘Happy Home Study‘, which is centred around stress caused by home management, it was discovered that 75% of workers are currently unhappy with their home environment. One of the top stressors was badly done DIY which came in at 22%. This tells me that a perfect way to not to get stressed is to find a trades person for all those DIY jobs around your home.
One of the major issues about finding a quality and reliable trades person is where do you start to look? There was a time when a family member would know the right person for every job, but that seems to be a thing of the past.
So when I was approached by Hoppy.com online to try out their home management website, where they can help you with various things from getting the best energy tariffs to finding the right person for a job and many more tasks and jobs that help your home run smoothly, I thought what a fantastic idea. It’s the perfect way to take the stress out of home management, and Hoppy is the number 1 home management website in the UK, and it’s completely free.

Signing up to Hoppy was incredibly easy, it was literally name and address, then set your password and tick the boxes that you need help with in relation to your home management.
The section I was particularly interested in was the ‘find a tradesmen section‘. Hoppy has 1800+ tradesmen nationwide, and all of them are guaranteed and vetted by Hoppy. That in itself is worth its weight in gold, saving you the stress and time of finding out if someone is reputable, trustworthy and most importantly reliable. It’s all been done for you.
Once you have decided what type of work you need doing, you simply go about putting all the details in and this will be distributed to all of Hoppy’s tradespeople who are experts in their own particular trades. All the tradespeople will be local to your area. They will supply quotes for the work you want done and then you decide who you want. How easy is all of that?!
So if want an electrician, plumber or a painter and decorator and numerous other tradespersons, Hoppy can supply exactly the right person to help you get all those DIY jobs done around the home.
Many jobs can be completed, but sometimes with all the other tasks we have around the home, it pays to bring in the professionals for those DIY jobs. The average person will on a regular basis completely get a DIY job wrong and will end up calling in the professionals to put it right and sort out the disaster. British people will spend a massive £34 billion fixing DIY jobs that went wrong. That’s an average of £650 per person. That can all be avoided by using Hoppy.com
Finding the right tradesperson is very difficult, but also it’s very time consuming which will have an impact on how you organise your home. It can get you down when you know all these DIY jobs need doing and you simply haven’t got the time to let alone do it or spend hours on the internet looking for the right tradespeople.
With the life we all seem to be living nowadays which to me appears to be moving at 100mph with a million and one things to deal with, usually at the same time, home management is vital and if you can get help via Hoppy.com, it will take the stress out of living and enable you to enjoy family time, which let’s be honest is loads more fun than putting up a shelf.
How do you deal with home management, especially with all those never ending DIY jobs? Do you get a tradesperson in like me, or do you battle on and stress yourself out? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Disclosure: This is a collaborative post all thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

I’m so fortunate that we have used the same guy for many years now and I can trust him to give us a fair price, do a good job and I can relax when he’s around. I dread him moving away or changing his job. It’s good to know there are other ways of finding trusted tradesperson – a relief actually xx

We’ve lived in our house for eight years and have only just finished fixing all the bad DIY jobs that the previous owners did. We got tradespeople in for a few of them, of course, but some ended up costing more than we hoped. I’ll use something like Hoppy next time!

Nigel, that photo terrified me at first. How did that spirit level pass through your abdomen? Anyway, good to see you had some success with Hoppy. I have used similar services but very often found them to be London-centric. Clearly not an issue with this company.

That is such a great service! It’s so tricky these days to find a reliable yet reasonable tradesperson, especially if they are self employed. I’m going to look into this. Thanks! #dreamteam

This sounds like a great site, Hubby’s grandad usually does all of our DIY bits and pieces as we’re both pretty rubbish with it – I should change that and try my hand at some… maybe next year hahahah!
Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next week.
