School Sports Day: My Sunday Photo

We had our schools sports day for our six year old twin girls during the last week. The school the girls attend, I have to admit make a huge effort to ensure sports day is an enjoyable experience for both pupils and parents, and this year was no different. It is a sports day that has winners and losers, although there is not a huge emphasis on whether somebody comes first, second or third, but at the end of the afternoon there is a winning house and just for good measure my twin girls were in the winning house. My Wife Is Seriously Awesome And I Love Her: The London Marathon 2019

Approximately 18 months ago my wife, Emily, decided to take up running. She felt she was not as fit as she would like to be, and as a teenager she enjoyed running so it seemed a natural thing to do to take up running again. I clearly remember her going on those first few runs of just 1k. She would come back feeling knackered, and I imagine it would have been so easy to just stop as it’s far too much effort, but no, my wife is made of much stronger stuff than that. My wife gradually built up her… [Read More]

Run WIFE! Run

It’s not often I write about my wife, but I felt this couldn’t be left unsaid in relation to her achievements with her running. This recently culminated in being picked as just one of ten runners in South Wales to be a part of Team Brecon Carreg, and believe me when I say it’s an awesome achievement. It really is, and throughly deserved. My wife started to run about 12 months ago seriously, and started to enter races and decided to train for the Cardiff half marathon. To start running and training for any race whether it be a 5k,… [Read More]

Following In Mummy’s Footsteps: My Sunday Photo

My Sunday photo this week is all about how my five year old twin girls are following in their mummy’s footsteps with their running, and how my wife is inspiring them to lead fit and healthy lives. In the month of January the girls entered a challenge which was called the 5 mile challenge. They completed it in great style and with total dedication. On Thursday they received  their medals in the post – this is their third medal for running and they are only five years old. On Friday they were lucky enough to show their medals at their… [Read More]

My Sunday Photo : My Wife And The Half Marathon

This beautiful lady is my wife who I am immensely proud of. She has trained hard for a long time to take part in her first half marathon. I don’t doubt for one minute that she will complete it in a very good time. The commitment and dedication my wife has shown not only to compete, but to run a good time is awe inspiring. My heart is bursting with pride and love for you. Our five year twins and I will be at the finishing line to cheer you pass the line whatever the weather. Good luck, not that… [Read More]

Our 2K Family Fun Run

About four weeks ago, my wife asked me if I was interested in doing a 2K family fun run with our five year old twin girls. Over the last few years my wife has started running a few times a week, and has recently completed a 5K and 10K run. I have to admit I am so proud of her and a little bit in awe of her. It takes a lot dedication and determination. Thankfully my wife is the sort of person who has that in abundance. So when she asked me I very casually said yes that will… [Read More]
